B.Pharm or D.Pharm — which is right for you?

D.Pharm is a two-year diploma focused on dispensing and community and hospital pharmacy — the quickest route to becoming a registered pharmacist. B.Pharm is a four-year degree that goes deeper into drug design, formulation, pharmacology and analysis, and opens industry, research and postgraduate careers.
Yes. PCI regulations allow D.Pharm holders lateral entry into the second year of B.Pharm, subject to university norms and seat availability. Several of our D.Pharm graduates have continued to B.Pharm at JBIT.
Both lead to jobs. D.Pharm graduates usually start as pharmacists or pharmacy assistants in hospitals and pharmacy chains, or as quality-control trainees. B.Pharm graduates have wider options — production, QC/QA, clinical research, regulatory affairs and pharma sales — with recent packages up to 5.09 LPA.
Either. Both programmes accept 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry plus Biology or Mathematics (PCB or PCM).
